Blogger automatically convert GIF to PNG
I've just known it when I upload a gif picture (Si Buta Dari Gua Hantu) and suddenly it became png.
I'm not sure whether my slow connection or the png factor but I cannot load the whole of now-png picture or my picture is too big to be downloaded as a whole. It always stop when it reach about 70-80 %.. Sigh..

Wouldn't the size be smaller if BW image is uploaded in form of GIF? This means that Google's automatic attempt to change the format to PNG will eating more of their server's resources
Yup..
The result is bigger than the original GIF. While the original only 36 KB while the PNG has 483 KB. (Whatt ??!!)
Maybe Google was afraid of being sued for GIF format(shouldn't the patent be expired yet by now?).
Lesson for me..
Next time, use jpg. Even if it black and white.
