I'm not Ashkenazy

I am from Israel. But I was born at Bulgaria

ME:

So.. Are you Ashkenazy?

THE GUY:

No. I'm not an Ashkenazy.

Do you know why?
Because the Jews in Bulgaria came from Spain.

Now, I don't know how to call it in English but I am not an Ashkenazy.

ME:

So.. are you Sephardim or Mizrahi?

THE GUY:

Ah.. That's it. I'm sepharadi.
